Did you know that 45% of women of colour feel less engaged and discriminated against at work in the #marketing industry?

A recent CMA survey on Marketing Talents reveals that women of colour in marketing often face challenges of feeling the glass ceiling. This survey indicates that a lot of work needs to be done to improve diversity, inclusion and equity in the Canadian marketing industry.

There will be a CMAtalent panel discussion on April 14 to share more information from the survey on diversity and inclusion. Learn about:

  • Diversity and inclusion in Canada’s marketing sector

  • The business imperative of prioritizing diversity and inclusion

  • Strategies and best practices for organizations seeking to confront systemic inequalities to create a safe and welcoming environment for all

The panel will be joined by Roxanna Kassam Kara and Mark Rouse (he/him) and moderated by Loretta Lam, Chief Strategist of Focus Communications.

“The CMA Talent Council aims to conduct further surveys and work with marketers to create a truly diverse and inclusive business environment. This is #TimeofTheCentury opportunity for leaders to make a positive impact at the workplace, removing stereotypes and the glass ceiling, and realize the business benefits from diversity and inclusion,” said Loretta, advisory member of the CMA’s Marketing Talent Council.
